Elemore – Bishopwearmouth Co-operative

Situated on the former Elemore Golf Course site our local Co-operative Community Interest company are now providing a range of local services.

Within the site we have a changing places accessible toilet/shower room with hoist and a sensory room. There is also a meeting room available to hire.

All profits generated are invested back into the company to provide paid employment, education, training and work-based, placements for adults with learning, physical and mental health needs.

Coffee Shop

The Coffee shop provides a full range of home baked cakes, pies, quiches, including vegetarian and vegan options. Afternoon teas and Sunday lunches are also planned in the forthcoming months.

For those wanting to enjoy the park takeaway Picnic lunch boxes will also be available.

The dog friendly coffee shop has two rooms inside including an outdoor patio area and a grassed seating area near the play area.

The Garden Centre will sell a wide range of products including indoor and outdoor plants, compost, pet care, bird care, pots, planters and garden sundries. We are also now taking orders to refill Summer hanging basket and planters.

We are currently planning a calendar of events, the workshops will include, planting up hanging baskets/planters, garden information workshops, making Christmas wreaths.

Day Care

Elemore Garden Centre & Coffee shop offers a unique day service offered by Bishopwearmouth Co-operative providing learning work-based opportunities for vulnerable adults, older persons, people with a learning disability, physical disability and mental health needs.
